Tallow is the original skin care of our ancestors. Tallow has a rich fatty acid profile, has natural antimicrobial, anti-fungal, and anti-inflammatory properties.
Tallow has passed the test of time as a whole food skin care product. Tallow doesn't need stabilizers, chemical processing, or preservatives. At kai tallow our intention is to allow pure potent tallow to do it's remarkable work for your skin. That's why we traditionally render with low heat with special developed straining and processing techniques that result in a pure and nutrient dense product. It's absorbed quickly and doesn't leave an oily residue. Tallow can be used on the whole body for a variety of skin ailments. At room temperature our tallow balm will keep for about a year. Although not required, you may choose to refrigerate our tallow balm to extend the shelf life. Our jars are made of amber glass, which offers the most protection in blocking UV light as an extra layer protection. Still, we recommend to keep your jar in a cool dark place.
Most people use our tallow balm as a daily moisturizer on the face. However, since tallow can be used on the whole body, tallow can be used for virtually any skin ailment. This is why we love tallow because it replaces so many toxic skin products.
